Update for Residents

10th to 24th August

Nine Mile Ride / Old Wokingham Road Roundabout

The works to the roundabout are now practically complete, with minor works to be undertaken as instructed by the local authority during their completion inspections.

Works to resurface some short sections of footpath near the roundabout, will be completed on the 13th August.

Cycleway - Old Wokingham Road to Crowthorne Roundabout

We anticipate completion before the end of August subject to the parts for the streetlighting arriving as expected.

The cycleway tarmac is now complete. Some minor works to paint white lines, fit signs and lay safety surfacing will be ongoing during August. Residents will notice some traffic management, including traffic lights, in place during the 13th – 15th August.

Development Access C - north of Hatch Ride

Development access C is now practically completed.

Housebuilding - Phase 1

We have over 100 homes under construction with properties at various stages, from foundation to final decoration.

We expect the next phase of our piling works to commence in late August, further into the development area. The piles are made from pre-cast concrete and are driven in to the ground by a large excavator type piece of equipment. Residents may notice this increase in activity which is anticipated to last until the end of October.

On site infrastructure

The site infrastructure remains on target to be completed in August. The access to Crowthorne House has now been realigned and the new access to our development from the roundabout on Nine Mile Ride opened.

SANG

The first phase of the SANG has now been practically completed with the remaining works scheduled to be finished in the Autumn.

Safety & Security

Our site is patrolled by security including support from a canine team. We would however like to take this opportunity to remind residents that whilst all reasonable precautions are taken, building sites can seem exciting to children but they can be dangerous places

As ever, we would, therefore, ask parents to ensure their children are made aware of the dangers and are instructed not to enter site at any time, unless doing so under the full supervision of our site staff and wearing full personal protection equipment.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank residents for their patience and understanding with us whilst we complete the highways works. Our team have been working hard to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum at all times.

The next residents update email will be issued in two weeks.
