Submit your student's story to WJCT for judging and a chance to win cool prizes! Local winning stories will be submitted to the local WJCT People’s Choice Awards for judging. Everyone who enters will receive a Certificate of Achievement. To help children prepare for the contest, encourage them to read last year’s winners, think about their own favorite stories, and create new stories. Each week, students should complete all of the exercises, cut out the raffle ticket on the bottom of the page, fill out their name, teacher, and then have it signed by their parents. Then, turn in the ticket to Mrs. Novak or the front desk on the following Monday to be entered into the raffle drawing for that week! There will be one winner per week that will be announced during Friday Morning Flag Ceremony. Students that win will choose a PE activity or game (with approval) for all grade levels to play during PE class that day. Students that complete all 5 weeks will be entered into a Grand Prize Drawing. Have fun being fit! Mrs. Novak Alumni NewsCongratulations to BES alumna and ESJ junior, Miranda Doro (far right), for presenting her science project at the Northeast Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair in Jacksonville this week. She was one of eight ESJ students in the Honors Science Seminar selected to present their projects at the State Science Fair of Florida in March. Students also earned place awards and special award certificates, gifts, and cash prizes from corporations, professional organizations, and government agencies. Way to go, Miranda!
