Final year undergraduate? MPhil planning to stay for a PhD?

If you think the next steps after your current course will include postgraduate study, the Postgraduate Open Day is taking place virtually this year on 02-15 November 2020. The event is open to all those seeking to apply for postgraduate study at the University and will provide opportunities to find out more about applying to postgraduate courses at Cambridge, available funding, research proposals and the courses available.

In the first week (02-06 November), Departments and Colleges will be running a whole range of live webinars and events and additional resources will be made available on the University’s virtual tour. They will also be running a range of general information sessions. Full information will be shared in the event programme, set to be released in the week commencing 26 October. Any resources from the Open Days will remain available in the second week (09-15 November) for you to look through should you wish to.

Bookings for the Postgraduate Virtual Open Days are open and you can book online.

Cambridge SU's Shadowing Scheme’

Calling Undergraduates!

The deadline for applying to mentor through The Student Union’s Mature Shadowing Scheme is 04 November.  Thanks so much to those of you who have already volunteered (far more than at the other mature Colleges, by the way!) – but if you haven’t got round to it yet, please don’t forget.

So far there are 4 times as many shadows applying to the scheme than there are mentors: we really need more of our passionate undergraduates to sign up! The SU is particularly keen to hear from Medics.

As part of the scheme you are paired with a prospective student from a widening participation background. You’ll chat to them virtually about your course and your experiences. This is a key scheme to give people a taste of studying at Cambridge and help them get the confidence to apply, whatever their background.
