No Images? Click here We hope you enjoy this new digital edition of Ring True. To keep you updated on all College news and events we will be sending you a new issue every two months. It's been a busy few months for our new President, Jane Clarke, since she took office on 1 October, juggling travel to conferences and alumni meetings, getting to know the Fellowship and other members, and developing a strategic vision for the next seven years — and beyond. Find out her impressions so far in her new blogpost. March ApplicationsIn order to offer every opportunity to returning learners, we hold a second round of undergraduate admissions with a deadline of 1 March. This allows potential students who are out of step with the normal academic schedule to show our Admissions Tutors they would be good candidates. We sat down with some students to find out why they chose to apply in March and how that led to their success. If you know a prospective student who might benefit, please do let them know about the March round. Zenobia Ismail received a travel grant that allowed her to support her PhD fieldwork in South Africa. ANNUAL FUND Keep an eye on your inbox and postbox for our Annual Fund mailing, which will be sent out next month. The Fund allows us to support students who might not otherwise be able to take a place at Wolfson or in order to help them make the most of their time here. We'll be sharing some of their inspirational stories and explaining more about how you can help support this year's Fund. An OBE for Wolfson FellowCongratulations to Wolfson Emeritus Fellow Ian Goodyer on receiving the Order of the British Empire for services to psychiatry in the New Year's Honours list. Ian popped into the College to talk to us about the honour, his work and to share some memories of Wolfson.

Ramping up AccessNext time you visit Wolfson you'll notice a spruced-up and more accessible front entry. Made of Yorkstone with Argento edging, and illuminated with solar-powered lights, our new access ramp makes passage easier for wheelchairs, delivery trolleys and prams. The new extra-wide doors are made of English oak and have automatic entry buttons. Enhancing the project's green credentials, we have saved the old doors to install in the Jack King Building. A fine Wolfson Welcome indeed. (A video of our Praelector, Dr Brian Cox, testing the stability of the new ramp can be viewed on our Facebook page.) UPCOMING EVENTS The Diasporic BrushA new exhibition opened on 20 January at the College, combining paintings from the Lee Seng Tee Collection along with works of six young artists of the Siaw-Tao Chinese Seal-Carving, Calligraphy and Painting Society.
