It’s hard to believe that over two years ago Nathan, Jorge and Evan came together on “The Bunkie” project. We started with the goal of creating something playful and inspirational that was also practical and sustainable. More recently we’ve been hard at work sourcing, engineering, prototyping and testing the groundwork for The Bunkie Company Ltd.

The Bunkie is now for sale!

Before setting off to build our full scale Bunkie, we experimented with a 1:3 scale model to prove out our construction methodology. It went together, first time, flawlessly.

We’ve received a tremendous response to our product, and are extremely excited to be a featured product at the upcoming 2013 Canadian IIDEX Trade Show in Toronto.

The pricing for the Bunkie starts at $US 29,900 for the entry level model, to $US 46,900 for the deluxe model (as pictured on our website). Other costs include shipping, applicable Cdn. taxes, site preparation and assembly. A major benefit with our innovative design is that assembly time is reduced dramatically compared to traditional building processes! Estimated assembly is 1-2 days (2 workers), with initial site prep required.

We offer a number of Exterior Finishes and Interior Options:

• Queen-sized murphy bed
• Small dining table and chairs visually integrated into the main feature wall
• shelves, cabinets, drawers, storage
• Ethanol burning fireplace

Our thoughtful design maximizes space by enabling 3 ways to use 1 multi-functional room; sleep, play and live.  Our manufacturing process utilizes CNC routers to cut precision plywood parts, that provides ease of assembly and superior structural strength. Unlike traditional ‘stick frame’ buildings, our Bunkie can be assembled with simple tools and practical step by step instructions. The unit external dimensions are 8.5’ (2.62 M) Wide x 12.5’ (3.85 M) Deep x 11.5’ (3.54 M) High.  There is also channeling built in for electrical wiring.

To get things going, we’ve decided to offer special pricing on the sale of our first 5 Bunkies.

For example, price: $29,900 – 10% = $26,910 | $46,900 – 10% = $42,210.* (Bunkie Company staff are available to assist on site).
