Sedation Services & Referral Information

With increased program enrollment through CDCP and HSO, we are seeing a rise in patients with more complex care needs. If your practice offers sedation services and accepts CDCP or HSO clients, we would appreciate hearing from you. Please contact us at dental@niagararegion.ca so we can update our referral information and better support clients in accessing appropriate care.

📌Mobile Dental Clinic (MDC) – 2026 Planning

The MDC continues to deliver preventive HSO services across Niagara. Planning is underway to expand mobile services to include seniors enrolled with the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program (OSDCP).

A key consideration for private practices is that under the Healthy Smiles Ontario Emergency and Essential Services Stream (HSO-EESS), clients can enroll up to three times in their lifetime. This limitation may affect long-term treatment planning and continuity of care.

🪥 Pacific Dental Conference 2026 – Save the Date

The Pacific Dental Conference will be held March 5–7, 2026 in Vancouver. The event features clinical sessions, keynote presentations and an extensive exhibit hall highlighting new products and innovations.

🪥 Canadian Oral Health Summit 2026 – Save the Date

The Canadian Oral Health Summit will take place June 18–20, 2026 in Saskatoon. This national gathering brings together dental professionals and partners to discuss emerging priorities and advancements in oral health.

Early-bird registration is available until March 31.
