'We are still here'

Last Thursday a group of our volunteers put on a free sausage sizzle for the Smithfield Plains community outside of our now boarded-up Op Shop. Although the morning brought showers, we welcomed the sunshine just in time for the gathering.

Accompanying the free sausage sizzle was a beautiful display of throw rugs, handmade by the Lutheran Women of South Australia, available for people to take home. The event was a great opportunity to connect with locals to let them know we miss them, we aren't going anywhere and we will be back soon.

Vacancy: Micro-Volunteering Project Officer

We are seeking a part-time Project Officer to join us in an exciting new project on Micro-Volunteering at LCC. Unlike regular hours of volunteer time, Micro-Volunteering is a one-off, no commitment action.

The Project Officer will work with the Project Manager to track existing micro-volunteering practices at LCC and develop new opportunities to engage with people and community groups. We are seeking an individual who is creative and who has the ability to engage with a variety of people, including schools and people from a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse background.
