African Gathering and Other Things

Greetings!

I have my training wheels on as I learn to drive this new list-server. I have already discovered that I can't append attachments any more. So they will need to be links to files on our webpage. I guess that will work. You can also subscribe and unsubscribe yourselves. I still haven't figured out how to copy and paste or insert graphics, so no pics at present.

Another African Gathering is being held. This time it is at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Para Vista on Saturday 23rd February 2013. You will find more information and promotional material on our district website African Ministry page. This material has been updated from that sent to congregations last week. [If the PowerPoint slide opens in a PP browser rather than PowerPoint itself, and you therefore can't copy it, email me and I will help you change that.]

Our new district administrator, Jayne Wardrop, began work this week. We welcome her. I am especially happy because it means I can hand over my acting administrator duties and get back to mission.

Our one-day mission workshops are also on again with the first being held at Zion Gawler on this Saturday (16 February 2013). It is not too late to enrol but you need to be quick. Contact Nevin on nevin.nitschke@sa.lca.org.au There are more  coming up as well. Watch this space.

Now that my other duties are coming to an end and the new list-server is up and running I plan to get back to sending out mission updates and Nevin now also has his own 'mission2go' list.
