HIGH PERFORMANCE

HP RIDERS REPRESENTATIVE WANTED

The EWA High Performance Panel is currently seeking expressions of interest from the current high performance members to join the EWA High Performance Panel as a Rider's Representative.

The Panel provides input and guides the direction of the EWA High Performance Program towards achieving the goals and objectives outlined in the EWA High Performance Strategic Plan. The Panel consists of a board of selectors from each discipline and the EWA High Performance Officer. The Panel shall provide advice to the High Performance Officer, CEO and the Board on:

  • Pathways planning
  • Nominated performance requirements and targeted events
  • Educational opportunities and requirements of athletes
  • High Performance events
  • Coaching resources and promotion of High Performance Coaches

Following the mid-year review, horse’s owner names will be included alongside the qualified rider on the La Noir Saddleworld EWA Squad lists. Updated Jumping Squad lists are now available here, with Dressage and Eventing to follow soon. Members are asked to check they have the correct owner on their papers/MyEA. WADYRA WELCOMES NEW COACH

WA Dressage Young Riders Association (WADYRA) members would like to thank Dr Victoria Hamilton for time and enthusiasm that she has devoted over the last 15 years to WADYRA as chief coach and mentor. Members would like to welcome Steph Spencer (pictured left) as their new coach, fresh back from her trip to Aachen.

VALLEY EQUINE VETERINARY CENTRE

The WA Eventing Committee would like to thank Warwick Vale and the team at Valley Equine Veterinary Centre for their continued support of our state's eventing community.

Valley Equine Veterinary Centre provides $2500 each year to Eventing WA, plus veterinary attendance at one WA FEI CIC/CCI event in an FEI Veterinary Delegate Capacity, and two annual veterinary lectures to WA Eventing Squad Members. They also sponsor the FEI Young Eventing Rider of the Year Award which aims to foster the young eventing rider into FEI competitions.
