Click here A smarter solution for household rubbishA group of councils from the south east of Melbourne has partnered with the Metropolitan Waste and Resource Recovery Group (MWRRG) to seek proposals from industry for a smarter way to deal with household rubbish. Currently, household rubbish that cannot be recycled is sent to landfill and buried—there is no other solution. But relying on landfill to dispose of rubbish is not ideal. The project will transform how household rubbish is managed by putting it to good use instead of burying it in the ground.
