Current leader of the Australian League of the FEI World Cup Jumping Series and five time Australian senior show jumping champion Chris Chugg will be among the riders competing in the Equestrian Grand Final for Jumping in Adelaide, South Australia. Australia has finished equal second in the consolation final of the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Final, sharing the podium with Brazil and France after all three teams finished on 12 penalties. MORE

Ariat Rider of the Month is David Cameron. The NSW rider and his mare RR Dyranta are the Australian Show Jumping Champions for the second consecutive year after edging out an all class field at the 54th staging of the Australian Show Jumping Championships (ASJC) at the Werribee Equestrian Centre. The Belgium Warmblood mare, owned by Linda Martin was also awarded EA Domestic Horse of the Year at the Sport Achievement Awards. MORE  

Australia and New Zealand have agreed that New Zealand will be the host nation of the 2016/17 Pacific League World Cup Final. New Zealand has not hosted the League Final since 1998. The FEI Pacific League World Cup Rules have provisions for the staging of the final to be held in New Zealand once every three years. MORE  

Equestrian Australia is inviting riders to submit their entry nominations for the 2015 Equestrian Grand Final to be held in Adelaide from 19-22 November. Entry nominations must be submitted by 5:00pm Friday 16 October 2015. MORE

Horses in training frequently require large grain meals to provide energy for performance. Results of this study indicate that feeding a protected sodium bicarbonate product (KERx EquiShure™) to horses on high-grain diets can attenuate the pH shifts that lead to hindgut acidosis. MORE  

UK rider, Alice Dundson will be attempting a world first at the 2015 Australian International Three Day Event (Aus3de) this November. She will be the first rider to bring her own horse to the event from the Northern Hemisphere, and the first rider in the world to compete in all six of the ‘pro tour’ FEI Classic Series CCI4* competitions on the same horse.
