Saddened by the loss of our shop

You may have seen on the news last week that our Op Shop located in Smithfield Plains was destroyed in a fire on 16 June.

It has been a difficult time for staff and volunteers who have devoted their time and hard work in making the shop thrive. It was much more than a place to find inexpensive clothing but a true community hub where volunteers connected with locals and the locals always came back for a friendly chat.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who have worked in the shop over the past years and to everyone who has contacted us with your words of encouragement and support. The rebuilding phase will be a difficult one, but with your support we know it will be possible.

We have had several people ask to donate clothing for the shop but unfortunately at this time we do not have enough space to hold an increase of donations.

If you are able, we are requesting monetary donations online (or call 8269 9333) so that we are able to find alternative shop arrangements and fittings. We will let you know when we are able to accept clothing donations.
