Verification of Electronic Prescribing Access
Effective NowSome providers, including residents, NPs, PAs and attending-level physicians, do not have appropriate electronic prescribing privileges in Epic. As a result, electronic prescriptions default to Print status, which may get missed and not given to the patient before discharge. To avoid discrepancies in discharge prescription processes, an alert in Epic will notify you if you are not set up for electronic prescribing and ask if you want to request to update your access. Click Accept to request that your access to be updated within 48 hours.
