It took a lot of hard work not just on the part of our founders, Bev and Chris Shillito, but dedication from countless individuals over the years, many of whom are still with us today as both staff and auditors. Our success and longevity can be tied directly back to our culture and how it has allowed us to recruit, develop and retain our staff and auditors. We have, over the last 5 years, been able to focus not just on how EAGLE can grow but on how to make the organization better in all aspects of the business. We have an eager, dynamic, growing staff and are excited for what is ahead of us. The future is truly golden!" Brad Shillito, President As part of the anniversary celebration, an EAGLE Timeline was displayed at Boot Camp to showcase the successes and growth of the company. Assessing CultureContributed by Jessica Osborne, Director of Business Development and Business Processes EAGLE is working on an approach to assess the culture of an organization as part of our audit value and service offerings. We are in the infancy stages of development and welcome input of tools, approaches and expectations that you as a client or other business partner may have. Culture is a growing focus for consumers and companies. Good company culture has a direct impact on company bottom-line as well as morale, retention and brand recognition. If you have any interest or input, EAGLE welcomes you to email Brad Shillito or Jessica Osborne. You can also reach out by phone at 1.800.795.3641. Now Offering BRCGS!Contributed by Lindsey Stafford, Senior Program and Certification Manager EAGLE is excited to announce that we are one step closer to receiving our BRC Global Standards (BRCGS) Accreditation. BRCGS is an approved Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard. Our BRCGS Office Audit assessment is now complete with ANSI. Our next step is to complete our first witness audit with ANSI scheduled for late summer/early fall 2019. Once this audit takes place our accreditation status will go to voting with ANSI and we will receive our accreditation. EAGLE will be able to offer BRCGS to the Food Safety, Packaging and Packaging Material, and Storage and Distribution industries. We are excited to bring on BRCGS to help support current clients and strengthen our offerings to new clients. More information can be found here on our website. Please email us with any questions or concerns. EMIS UpgradeContributed by Matt Penny, IT Manager We are set to upgrade the back end of our EMIS website on the weekend of August 3rd – 4th, 2019. This will introduce a newly updated look to the website, and some upgrades based on customer feedback we’ve received over the years. The transition will be pretty low impact, but please be aware that the website may be unavailable for a portion of this weekend while the upgrade is performing. You should plan ahead to submit any items you may need to so that they are not late, in case of extended downtime. Your login information will remain the same, and all of your current data/due dates/access will carry over to the new site. We hope you will enjoy the improvements we have made.
