No Images? Click here At VoiceThread we’re passionate about creating rich, interactive learning environments for instructors and students, but we also know that it’s important for administrators to customize and manage those experiences easily. We’ve introduced a number of powerful new features to help you do just that.
Do you want all of your users to enable Threaded Commenting for VoiceThreads they create? Turn off exporting or downloading of media? Just set custom defaults for all of your users. There is a brand new section of your Manager Settings where you can set these preferences. Individual users can set their own custom defaults as well.
If your VoiceThread license is not integrated, then you’ve been adding members one-at-a-time or by uploading CSV files. Now you can invite people to join with a password-protected link. This is a simple way for users to register themselves under your license so you don’t have to enter all of their information for them. Editing Student Work Administrators can now edit any VoiceThread created by a member of their license. Help correct mistakes, transfer ownership of VoiceThreads when someone leaves, or just see what your users are talking about. If you go to the "All VoiceThreads" section of your Manager, you can search for and edit any VoiceThread created by your members. Limiting Identities Your VoiceThread Identity is your display name. By default, users under your license may edit their current identity name or even create multiple identities. This is powerful for fulfilling different roles at an institution or even participating in role-playing lessons. If you don’t want your members to have this option, however, just turn it off by checking the box labeled “Prevent members from editing or creating more identity names” in your
Manager Settings. Third-Party Captions Allow your users to caption comments and video slides with the click of a button. If you have a District or Site License with VoiceThread and also have a license with 3Play Media, Amara, or CaptionSync, then you can tie those services directly into VoiceThread. Contact us if you are interested in setting this up.
Don’t forget that District and Site License holders can also access Analytics. Track trends and patterns over time and find out who your most active users are. |
