December already... we can’t believe it! The time has just flown due to us having our busiest two last quarters for some time and not letting up in the run up to Christmas... That’s one excuse why our new website isn’t finished and the fact we are all pretty exhausted is another. But it will be ready by January!! We promise!
In October this year we received a nomination in the Digital Design section for our Teesside TV ad at The Roses Awards, Manchester... A good night was had by all... but all we did pick up that evening was a bad hangover. As shown above. Roll on 2011.

From early summer 2010 we started working with The Walled Garden, Bistro Wine Bar belonging to The Barton Grange Hotel, Nr Preston.
What started off as just a requirement for a new logo and the place needing a lick of paint and a patch of new carpet, became a complete branding exercise and thorough refit to give the place a more Bistro, Wine Bar experience, but without alienating the regular client base.
Wash not only created the new brand, but became Creative Consultants throughout the whole project.
If you’re looking for a great place to wine and dine...
we highly recommend The Walled Garden Bistro. Book early, it gets busy!

The Grand in Clitheroe is a great location to see great bands, see films, to eat, meet and greet. To record music, to dance, to learn. In fact as a venue there isn’t much you can’t do at The Grand.
Wash was introduced to the venue as they were looking for a new website to promote the location. But they also needed a new brand direction for their in-house design to take on board.
We created a set of six animated idents for the introduction to the website, but something they could also use around the venue on all the large information screens, plus the big screen within the main event arena.
The project consisted of brand idents, website and publication layout and photography. |

So here we are at last, two years on from first picking up Bolton College as a client - and the ‘new’ build is finally finished...
When Wash first started working with Bolton College, they had just been given the go-ahead for a new £70million new build... and the college needing a new ident.
We created a new Bolton College logo, but had to work with a brand that ran throughout various other publications that was about to run it’s course this year.
This summer was now the time, along with a brand new college, to have a whole new brand direction and tone for the prospectus.
With help of illustrations from Al Heighton and photography by Adrian Ray, the new publication looks superb... and so does the new college.

Often Wash get invited to pitch for work. Not something we really relish, but par for the course now a days for some reason? But this one was one close to our heart as it was for Preston Guild. Something some of us have been involved with from a very young age being Preston born and bred...
We presented many ideas, but unfortunately got pipped to the post. But here's a sneak peak of what we did, we're quite proud of it...

Give it a Go was a branding exercise we won ‘in a pitch’ back in 2009. After many months of the initiative being undertaken, we were asked back to make a small film that told the story of the project and the people involved.
Running around the county to many towns within the North West Lancashire region with a Canon 5D MKII, some sound equipment and a vague idea of what we were going to encounter, turned out to be lots of fun and the chance to meet some lovely people.

Our education portfolio is still growing with this lovely job completed in September for Chetwynde High up in Barrow-in-Furness.
The school needed a whole new brand to reposition itself to a local market that had completely the wrong perception of the school. Working with illustrator Martin Haake, we turned the new prospectus into a book telling the story of the school in an attempt to break down any preconceived ideas.
The project included new a prospectus, website signage, stationery and other marketing material.

The Old Vicarage was a small branding exercise for a local nursery over in Blackburn. The logo is to be used on signage, print, tunics, web... cups, paper plates... flags, napkins... and lots of other nursery items in time.
We fell in love with this little rocking horse that was an ‘upgrade’ on their old logo. Same concept, new character... not sure he/she has a name yet however.
So ideas... |

And finally... Andy made a trip to Amsterdam to visit the PaperlinX Europe team and popped in to see the BuhrmannUbbens open day. Some great sign and display products out there!! Well worth the trip. Not to mention the ‘complete’ guided tour of the city. What an eye opener.
