Personal Choice and Community Safety Committee anti-health and anti-common sense

The WA Parliamentary Inquiry on Personal Choice and Community Safety (PCCS) established last week is not only a waste of time and money but could have a negative impact on perceptions of  community safety and health.

 

“This Parliamentary Inquiry will attract anti-health supporters, including those who for a range of reasons – including ignorance – believe that individuals have no responsibility for their community,” AMA (WA) President Dr Omar Khorshid said.

 

“The absurdity of some of the speeches given by MLCs was embarrassing and reflect poorly on them as elected representatives of the people of WA.

Celebrating 25 years of the AMA (WA) Charity Golf Day

Tickets are still available for the 25th AMA (WA) Charity Golf Day, being held Friday 26 October 2018 at the Royal Perth Golf Club.

 

There will be some amazing items up for auction and as usual, proceeds will go to the AMA (WA)’s Dr YES program.

 

The Ambrose tournament allows players of varying degrees of golfing prowess to get involved, so the novice will have just as much fun as the more experienced player.

 

The day on the course is followed by an evening of catching up with friends and colleagues over some fabulous wine and food.

National Strategic Approach to Maternity Services

The development of the National Strategic Approach to Maternity Services (NSAMS) will soon begin Round 2 of consultation.The consultation will involve face to face workshops, an online survey and opportunity to submit online responses.
