MyCatch and Citizen Science

Our passion for fisheries research has driven us for decades. Angler’s Atlas began collecting angler data in the early 2000's and the launch of MyCatch in 2018 has supercharged our efforts. We currently work with scientists across Canada and into the US, to provide data that is difficult to otherwise collect, and to help inform fisheries management and conservation.  Recently, our first scientific paper has been published in the Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, and there are several more research papers in the works. To learn more about the research, click here to read the full scientific study. To be part of the growing movement, download MyCatch today and start tracking your catches!

Download the MyCatch App today

Track your catches and at the same time help fisheries biologists by providing important catch data for their fisheries assessments. MyCatch provides a new way to collect fisheries data from anglers. Through the app you will be able to share your catch data with fisheries biologists and learn more about what fisheries research is going on.

And our promise to anglers is that your Secrets Spots Stay Secret!
