PRME Global Students (PGS) welcomed a new cohort of Coordinators and Taskforce members for all the seven projects in its portfolio in January, 2023. The taskforce has members from 18 countries across the world from 32 PRME signatories. A total of 37 new members joined the team taking the strength of the current taskforce to 56. Its various events and activities create a propitious environment to grow and excel. It provides the students with social and emotional learning by delivering group sessions and understanding the importance of holistic development. PGS on Stage: PGS hosts the 1st General Meeting for 2023! PRME hosts a holiday party to celebrate all its achievements in 2022 with the team! On Saturday, the 28th of January, 2023 the PRME Global Students conducted their first general meeting! The meeting started with welcoming the new team members and reconnecting with the old ones. This was followed by reviewing the list of engagement opportunities for PGS beneficiaries. The team also discussed the pilot of PGS sustainability awards in Africa, which was followed by the idea of replication of these awards globally in other regions to promote awareness and create a healthy competitive spirit among student organisations. The team discussed the strategies to enhance the PGS internal communications followed by the introduction to the revolutionary co-leadership model! Youth Briefing on Our Common Agenda Implementation! With the purpose of informing and updating youth on progress towards the implementation of Our Common Agenda and all its associated proposals, the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth will host a Youth Briefing on Our Common Agenda Implementation. Carbon Literacy Sessions by the PRME Working group! This PRME Working Group was configured at the Global Forum 2015 in New York. The aim of this Working Group goes beyond that of assisting business schools, it also aims to act as a resource for all organizations who wish to embed climate change and environmental education into their teaching and training. The working group brings together academics and practitioners from over 20 different countries who have committed to taking action to promote climate change education and action.
