October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month! Help spread awareness by Dressing Down at work or school. Contact the DSG for a Dress Down kit!

Celebrating Our Siblings!

The DSG recogizes the unique role of siblings who have a brother or sister with Down syndrome and offers siblings the chance to meet other siblings, hang out and have fun. We need Volunteers (age 15+ years old) for a Sibs Night Out on Friday, Sept. 27th from 6:00PM-8:00PM and Friday, Nov. 8th from 6:00PM - 8:00PM (age 18+ years old) Sign-Up to Volunteer!

Family Day at Weston Red Barn Farm

DSG needs volunteers (must be age 14+) on Sunday, Sept. 8th from 12:00PM-4:30PM to help serve food, work registration and manage games at Weston Red Barn Farm. Sign-Up to Volunteer!

S.T.A.R.S. Are Ready to Rake in Some Fun!

The S.T.A.R.S. (Special Teens Achieving Real Success) has a busy calendar for September & October and seek to find consistent volunteers (must be 18+ years old) throughout the school year. Sign-Up to Volunteer!

Oct. 26th - Step Up For Down Syndrome Walk

Join 8,000 walkers at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, October 26th for the Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk!

Last year, the walk raised $503,000 last year to support people with Down syndrome in the KC metro area. Volunteer Today!

Teen & Adult SPOOKtacular Halloween Dance!

Join teens and adults with Down syndrome at the DSG Office on Wed. October 16th from 6:00PM - 8:30PM for a night of SPOOKtacular food and dancing! (Volunteers must be 16+ years old). Put on a costume and Sign-Up to Volunteer!

7 to 11 Year Old Thanksgiving Party Nov. 14

Our 7 to 11 Year olds sure know how to have a fun time and need volunteers for a Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday, Nov. 14th from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Give parents a break, and sign-up as a Volunteer for our 7 to 11 year olds who will enjoy dinner, a show and dessert.

Join a DSG Committee and Make a Difference!

The DSG relies on active committee members in order to make our programs, mission, and events successful. DSG offers 4 different committee options.

Public Awareness, Public Education and Development Committees meet the third Tuesday each month from 6:00PM-8:00PM.

Prom Committee meets the second Saturday each month from 9:00AM-11:00AM to plan the Annual DSG Prom!
