It takes less than five minutes to check your eligibility and apply for up to $1,200 in housing relief that is payable to your lender and landlord. 

Alaska Housing Relief is available to Alaska homeowners and renters who have experienced income loss due to COVID-19. It may only be applied to your primary residence and is subject to certain income restrictions. 

FREQUENTLY-ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Who is eligible?

Households whose income at the time of application is 80% or less of the median income for their respective area. Household income must have been reduced on or after March 11, 2020 and be directly related to COVID-19.

Is this program only available for renters?

No. This program is available to renters and homeowners.  

Is this assistance available for all properties owned by the applicant household ?

No. Housing relief is only available for the primary residence of the applicant household. 

What happens if the available funds run out before my number is selected?

All funds will be distributed as determined by a statewide randomization. If funding is insufficient to assist all households that submitted applications, AHFC will send notification to the remaining lottery entrants once funds have been exhausted.
