California-based industrial design firm AWOL Company created this alpine race helmet for Fast Company’s Porsche Design Challenge. Inspired by the 1969 movie Downhill Racer starring Robert Redford and Gene Hackman, it refers to the moment in the film when a streamlined orange Porsche 911T Sportomatic plows through a pristine snow-covered landscape. We are convinced that the wearer of this helmet will capture the speed and perfect lines of that famous car.
Dalla Lana School of Public Health
Visual Identity In creating a new brand for Dalla Lana, we considered the meaningful collaboration between practice and policy that is crucial to public health success. Designer Hesh Jayawardena explored many typographic options that would enable the two-part name Dalla and Lana to be of equal size and length. The bifurcated visual identity is supported by juxtapositions of colour to establish a harmonious relationship between the two worlds, reinforcing the school’s mandate and their efforts to balance cause and effect within healthcare.

Donald Ellis Gallery
WebsiteWe like to keep our clients informed when it comes to features we know will improve their websites. In the case of the Donald Ellis Gallery, we started with analytics. Many visitors to the site were using their mobile phone, so it was imperative to make the site fully responsive. With the incorporation of a filtering system, visitors can now view objects based on a specific culture and its availability. And a new section was added, highlighting past DEG exhibitions from prominent art fairs around the world. The new and improved website provides DEG users with easier browsing, and the Gallery with improved SEO and cataloguing.
