New Use for Landmark Building

February saw Hurstwood's sister company Crystal secure planning approval for student accommodation at 30 Mawdsley Street in Bolton town centre.

The plans provide for six student flats with a total of 37 bedrooms, each with on-suite bathroom facilities and shared kitchen and living space; plus two additional self-contained bed-sit apartments.

Our Mawdsley Street property lends itself to student accommodation. It is already divided into a number of small rooms over three floors and features a great deal of character. The building is only a 10 minute walk from the university and is ideally located within the town centre.

First Deal of 2013 at Popular City Centre Office Building

Crystal completed 11 deals at 61 Mosley Street in 2012 and 2013 has started brightly as well with a new tenant and a good number of enquiries.

The latest deal saw Grant Erskine Architects let a suite in the third floor business centre.

We have been looking for a new location in the heart of the city for the last few months as part of our on-going growth strategy. The offices at 61 Mosley Street were exactly what we were looking for and Crystal offered us a really good deal.

Unit 7 Let to Drinks Manufacturer Mr Fitzpatrick's

The units at the Courtyard have proven to be extremely popular since they were constructed by Hurstwood in 2007.

January saw Unit 7 let to soft drink manufacturer Mr Fitzpatrick's, leaving Unit 5 as the last available unit on the estate.

The unit was attractive because of its modernity and location as well as being perfectly sized for our business. We also had positive feedback from existing tenants. We have found Hurstwood to be helpful and hope to have a long and happy association.
