Operation Green Light is Here to Help!During Operation Green Light on Saturday, Oct. 19, the Clerk & Comptroller is authorized to waive collection agency fees – some as high as 40 percent – for anyone who pays off their court obligations in full or signs up for a monthly payment plan. Those who pay their debts or go on a monthly payment plan will also be able to reinstate their suspended driver’s license in most cases. This one-day event is for Palm Beach County cases only and will take place at all four courthouse locations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. Clerk Bock & Clerk’s Office Both Honored as Finalists for 2019 ATHENA Awards
Clerk & Comptroller Sharon R. Bock and her team of nearly 700 employees were both honored as finalists for the 28th Annual ATHENA Leadership Awards at the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches award ceremony on Friday, Sept. 20. The ATHENA Awards recognize both individuals and organizations for their professional excellence, community service and commitment to supporting leadership opportunities and initiatives for women.
Clerk & Comptroller Earns Highest Honor in Governmental Budgeting

For the seventh consecutive year, the Clerk & Comptroller's office received the Government Finance Officers Association’s “Distinguished Budget Presentation Award” – the association’s highest honor in budgetary excellence. The non-profit Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awarded its prestigious “Distinguished Budget Presentation Award” to the Clerk & Comptroller for the office’s Fiscal Year 2019 budget report. The award recognizes government agencies that adhere to the highest principles of government budgeting and meet nationally-recognized guidelines for budget transparency and financial accountability. Our Clerks donated more than 2,700 school supply items –including backpacks, notebooks, pens and pencils – during our supply drive in August! The items were given to the
Education Foundation of Palm Beach County's Red Apple Supplies store. This store provides classroom supplies for teachers at local Title 1 schools, which serve students with the highest financial need.
Clerks Meet the Call for Help with Bahamas Hurricane Relief Donations

Our amazing team of nearly 700 employees donated 3,398 pounds of hurricane relief items and raised more than $5,700 to help those in the Bahamas impacted by Hurricane Dorian. All of the supplies collected – including canned goods, diapers and bottled water – were given to the Grand Bahama Disaster Relief Foundation. The monetary donations were given to the Bahamas Red Cross Society.

In recognition of National Grandparents Day on Sept. 8 and National Guardianship Awareness Month in October, our team members donated more than 100 care packages for local seniors participating in the MorseLife Memory Care program. Each package included a pair of non-slip slippers, a puzzle, hard candies, a colorful sensory hand ball, activity and coloring books, pens and crayons.
