Winter 2018 Newsletter

Happy New Year to all! The holiday season has come to an end which means it is time to get back in the laboratory. Proteome Software has a few exciting announcements to share to begin 2018!

METLIN for Elements is Here!

Elements 1.4, out now, includes the popular METLIN spectral library. That’s right, search NIST, METLIN and numerous free libraries. What advantage does METLIN provide?

  • the largest collection of MS/MS data, curated by the Scripps Institute since 2005
  • MS/MS Spectra for over 15,000 metabolites, lipids, di- and tri- peptides
  • support for multiple instruments including SCIEX, Agilent, Bruker and Waters
  • spectra captured at multiple collision energies in both positive and negative mode

What does this mean for my research? Searching the METLIN Spectral library will provide accurate MS2 matches to those generated by your instrument for thousands of compounds.

US HUPO 2018

Proteome Software will be attending the US HUPO conference from March 11 to 14 in Minneapolis, MN. All attendees are encouraged to stop by our both for information about all of our products for both proteomics and small molecules. Keep an eye out for more information including our booth number as the conference date gets closer. Send us an email if you plan on attending and we look forward to seeing everyone there.

Featured Publication

The featured article this quarter focuses on using Elements for untargeted lipidomics. The new Elements 1.4 includes optimizations for experiments involving lipids.
