David is an international development consultant, specialising in education and the effective use of technology. He has eight years of experience working across Africa in partnership with governments, private sector and civil society organisations. He is a founding director of Jigsaw Consult and an associate fellow of Education Impact. He has undertaken consultancy work for a range of organisations such as Save the Children, IDRC, Microsoft, eLearning Africa and UNRWA. David also holds a PhD from the University of London. His thesis research focused on developing rigorous and innovative approaches for monitoring and evaluating the impact of technology on education in Ethiopia and Malawi. He has organised numerous international workshops and conferences. He also teaches Development Geography at postgraduate level at the University of London. Alongside this, David is engaged in the charitable sector in the UK as Chair of the Trustees for Refugee Support Network.
