Dear Colleagues,
We are reaching out to you today with several important announcements, listed below.
1. Profiles of Engineering and Engineering Technology 2020 Data
In a typical year, we receive 30-40 requests for extensions. This year we have received over 130 requests due to events over the last year (including the pandemic and weather). We are working with institutions to complete their submissions, but do want to make available data we've processed so far.
The planned timeline is as follows:
-
Data received by March 15 will be in the EDMS by March 31.
-
We will refresh that data by the end of April.
-
The Profiles app (https://shinyapps.asee.org/apps/Profiles%20App/) will be updated after we've completed validation and corrections to be publicly viewed by the end of May.
- The Profiles 2020 publication (electronic) and the Engineering & Engineering Technology by the Numbers will be posted by the of July.
2. ASEE Faculty Salary Survey
The 2021 ASEE Faculty Salary Survey is open:
https://salarysurvey.asee.org/
You should no longer see a TLS warning; please refresh your page if you do.
We have also added validation checks to ensure that the system flags problematic data (e.g. when the median is higher than the upper decile) for correction before submission.
Participation is free and allows an institution access to four national salary reports of the data. There is a $500 fee for the peer reporting tool.
The deadline is April 15, 2021.
3. ASEE Retention Survey (Summer 2021)
We will run the bi-annual retention survey this summer with an anticipated open of June 1, 2021 and due date of August 31, 2021. More information to come.
Take care,
Joe
