ETHS Student Artwork Featured at Scientific Images Contest Opening
The 2014 Scientific Images Contest
launched with a day full of outreach at Evanston Township High School (ETHS) last month. More than 550 students from art and science classes visited the gallery during the school day to learn more about Northwestern University research and to chat with visiting scientists.
But, this year, the scientific images weren’t the only artwork on display. Photography by Dan Dubrow’s physics class was also featured, along with artistic interpretations of winning scientific images done by Pam Baumgartner’s AP Studio Art class.

Science Cafe - Ebola: The Facts
Rob Murphy has worked in West Africa for over 20 years, primarily in Nigeria and Mali, two countries that have been impacted by Ebola virus but have managed to contain it. The facts and myths of Ebola will be the focus of his presentation.

SCI Q&A: Beyond the Bench: Playing with Science

Tirado-Lee and Flores, both PhD students at Northwestern University, are members of Jugando con la Ciencia (Playing with Science), a bilingual science education program based in the Evanston Public Library.
