The membership period is from January 2022-December 2022 and there are three options for payment:

OZeWAI Website - Usability Testing

Please email web@ozewai.org to be added to the people we can turn to for usability testing of our new website and particularly upcoming content we are developing based on the ICT Procurement workshops. We are especially looking for people who use different types of assistive technologies to test our new site.

A11y Camp Call For Presentations Closes Soon

A11y Camp is looking for presentations on topics such as accessibility strategy, design and content, innovation, development and testing.

The call for proposals closes 5 August 2022. Successful applicants will be notified by mid-August. Find out more and submit a proposal.

A11y Camp 2022 will be online between 3 and 10 November 2022 (on concurrent Thursdays).

 

Mobile Site and Native App Accessibility Testing (Part 1)

In this three hour workshop, digital accessibility expert Gian Wild from AccessibilityOz talks about the unique accessibility issues on mobile sites and mobile apps, including hover traps, VoiceOver swipe traps and zoom traps.

9am-12noon, Wednesday 17 August, online. Cost is $150-$200 (+ GST & booking fee). Register now.

Mobile Site and Native App Accessibility Testing (Part 2)

This second 3-hour workshop will include a detailed review of the testing methodologies, critical mobile-specific issues, mobile AT and feature support and desktop relationship issues.

This is part 1 of a 2-part workshop. Part 1 is a prerequisite for participation in this part of the workshop.

Deep Dive - Accessible ICT Procurement

Learn about accessible ICT procurement processes and how to buy digital products and services that embed human rights by design. 

Hear from accessibility experts Andrew Normand, Web Accessibility Lead, University of Melbourne, and Brigitta Norton, Accessibility Lead, Accessibility NSW, as they discuss how to identify meaningful procurement practices.

Leading Inclusion by Design in the Public Sector

An introduction to Inclusive Design practice, in partnership with the Centre for Inclusive Design.

This two-part seminar is specifically designed for professionals working in Federal, State and Local Government to develop an understanding of Inclusive Design practice.

Inclusive Design 24

Inclusive Design 24 (#id24) is a free 24-hour online event on 22 September  for the global community to celebrate inclusive design and share knowledge and ideas from analogue to digital, from design to development, from planners to practitioners, and everything and everyone in between.

After taking a hiatus in 2021, WordPress Accessibility Day returns 2-3 November with a free 24-hour global event focused on accessibility in WordPress.
