Good morning.  Many resident-facing employees struggle to pay their bills and put food on the table, especially during the winter.  Today's gratitude challenge is about giving back to help brighten someone's day.

Gratitude challenge

As we enter the home stretch of 2022, I am always excited to reflect on the wins and challenges of the year and the excitement for the year ahead.

It is also a time to thank and tip our hats to those who surround us and contribute to the organization's success.

No group of individuals is more critical to our success than the resident-facing team members who bring it every shift.

This week's gratitude challenge is fun for your leadership team to come together and create a tangible way to say thank you to a few co-workers.

Holiday Meal Kit

For this challenge, you will need a large basket or container to hold the meal kit.  If you're not creative like me, here is one my wife found that will do the trick and is inexpensive.

Next, you will fill the basket(s) with all the necessities you and your team consider a great holiday meal. 

In the past, we've included Turkey, Ham, or Beef as the protein.  Fresh vegetables and all of the fixings to create two to three sides and a dessert. 

Leverage your food vendor for the best prices, and you may even be able to convince them to donate some items for your cause.

Or, if you're short on time, you can utilize a home delivery service for the meal. 

To determine who the basket recipient should be, allow staff to nominate deserving co-workers who go above and beyond delivering exceptional value to your community.

Coordinate a date, review the nominations and announce the winner.
