The County will work with Gateway85, as well as Gwinnett Place and Sugarloaf CIDs to create land use and development implications for bus rapid transit service from Jimmy Carter Boulevard to Sugarloaf Parkway. PARTNER ACTIVITIESGateway85 Board Member Phil Sadd Graduates Leadership Gwinnett Class Congratulations to Gateway85 Board Member Phil Sadd on his graduation from the thirty-fourth Leadership Gwinnett class in May. This year's class raised $10,000 for the Leadership Gwinnett Scholarship Fund. Since its founding in 1985, nearly 1,200 community leaders have graduated from the Leadership Gwinnett program. In 2012, Sadd was appointed to the Gateway85 CID Board of Directors by the City of Peachtree Corners where he resides and serves as the city council Post 1 representative. Gwinnett Transit Travel Training Available in Spanish June is Promising Patrons Month and Gwinnett County Transit is focusing on providing details on transportation alternatives to limited English-proficient individuals. The first-ever Travel Training in Spanish Event is Saturday, June 8 from 1:00pm to 3:30pm. Transit representatives will personally walk patrons through how to ride Gwinnett County Transit's system, read a bus schedule, track their bus on the myStop app, pay fare, and more with a Spanish translator in attendance. Attendees will receive a free Breeze Card, snacks, and giveaways. Preregister here, and find more event information here. Additionally, Gwinnett County Transit will visit public library branches in Lilburn, Peachtree Corners, Lawrenceville, and Norcross on June 10, 13, 17 and 18, and provide free giveaways and translated materials on the Travel Training Program, incentives for changing commutes, and more.
