It's been long overdue but finally our new website is launched! On www.voidwatches.com you find the complete range of our watches and accessories, with detailed information about each product. Read more about the brand and in a new 'meet our retailers' section we introduce our shops and their neighbourhoods in a more personal way. We have expanded our press section where you can see a selection of clippings. Following the success of the V01EL and V02 series, the V01LED is based on the same case design but uses an LED display that remains unlit until you press the time/date display button. LED watches were first launched in the early 70s and were at that time sold as high end watches. With the V01LED we have tried to recreate that feeling of the LED's glory days. The LED technique works perfectly with the VOID design concept since the unlit display enhance the contrast of the metal case and the blacked out crystal. We've also made a full polished mirror version, just because we couldn't resist! To find out more click here!

At VOID Watches we like to keep in touch with our friends. Here we speak to our favorite Dutch actress, the beautiful Madelief Blanken, who is now on location.

MB: I'm Madelief Blanken (22). I'm an actress and next to my acting I run, together with 2 other business partners, a children's casting agency. I started acting at the age of 8 and played in numerous series and movies.

VW: Where do you based? What's your favorite thing with your town.

MB: I've been living in Amsterdam for 2 years. Amsterdam offers a range of cool and hip hangout places where me and my friends often go; www.trouwamsterdam.nl , www.vlla.nl and www.awakenings.nl for example. Even a small city as Amsterdam provides a lot of art and culture. There is one place called FOAM (www.foam.nl), this is a photography museum, showing the latest collection of international photographers. I try to visit that as often as possible.

VW: We will make sure to pay a visit next time in Amsterdam. Which model of VOID do you have?

MB: I have a VO1EL and a VO2. Both watches are lovely and really suit my style.

VW: We're happy to hear that! Are you usually on time (if not, do you ever blame your watch)?

MB: I always show up on time. I have a trick that I set all my watches and clocks 10 minutes earlier to keep ahead of time.

VW: We're glad you don't use our quirky V02 watch as an excuse... What's your main inspiration as an actress?

MB: Everybody is a source of inspiration for me. The natural energy of people inspire me for different roles where I use people's character and personality.

VW: You're an actress so we assume you love movies, what's your 'Top 3 movies of all time'?

MB: 1. As it is in heaven (Kay Polak, Sweden), 2. La mala educacion (Pedro Almodóvar, Spain), 3. Das leben der anderen (Florian Christian, Germany)
