ASA-HC Honors Gold-Level Commitment to Safety Members

During our October 17 General Lunch Meeting, ASA-HC was proud to recognize 18 member companies who achieved their 2019-2020 Commitment to Safety (CTS) Gold level. The CTS program honors companies that implement effective construction safety and health programs, and which provide effective safety and health training for management, supervisors and employees. The program consists of three levels — Member, Silver and Gold.

At ASA-HC’s September 19 General Lunch Meeting, “Companywide Perspective on How a Safety Incident is Handled,” panelists discussed their role in each of three safety scenarios (first aid, recordable and fatality) and best practices to help avoid those scenarios on a jobsite. Additionally, 18 member companies received recognition for the 2019-20 Gold level Commitment To Safety (CTS).

    Did You Know?

Voter turnout in the United States fluctuates in national elections. In recent elections, about 60% of the eligible voting population has voted during presidential election years, and about 40% has voted during midterm elections. For last year’s mid-term elections, 49.3% of the voting-eligible population turned out to vote — the highest voter turnout percentage since 1914!

In Texas, just under 60% of eligible voters turn out during presidential election years, and about 35% turn out during midterm elections. For last year’s mid-term elections, 53% of the voting-eligible population turned out to vote. That’s the highest voter turnout percentage since 1970’s 53.89%, according to the Texas Secretary of State website.

Check back in this section next month for an update on voter turnout for 2019!
