Church Accountability: Embezzlement in the Church

Pastor Bob of Calvary Church just learned that Sister Suzie embezzled over $50,000 from the churches building fund.  How could this have happened, Sister Suzie had been the treasurer for 20 years?  What could the church have done to prevent it?  This story may seem impossible but it happens on a daily basis in the church world and could happen in your church.

According to the status of Global Mission Report from the Center for the Study of Global Christianity, Christians worldwide will commit more than $37 billion in church related financial fraud during 2013. This is growing by $100 million each day which makes the annual rate to increase to 6%. This is not even the entire picture, as 80% of all cases of church fraud goes unreported.

Learn how you can discourage embezzlement at your church.
