This months alumni spotlight features one of our newest additions to the WJU alumni family, Jared Fujishin. Shortly after gradution this past May, Jared was hired at New Hope Diamond Head Church in Honolulu, HI as their Creative Director. As if moving across the Pacific Ocean (with his brother Tyler, ’12) and starting a new job wasn't enough, he found time to write a book entitled, "The Gardener Philosophy". This practical guide offers current day worship leaders resources to help build a healthier self, team and congregation. When asked what prompted him to write this book he responded:
"Much of this book, and many of the themes come straight from what I have learned under the influence of these mighty men and women of God who call WJU their home. I am blessed to have received so much, and now I want to give back! This book is my humble way of trying to consolidate and summarize some of the amazing leadership tools and tricks of the trade I was given at WJU!"
We are honored to have him as an alumnus of the university and look forward to seeing what God will do through him and his ministry in Hawaii!
Jared's book is currently for sale on Amazon and can be purchased HERE.
