Featured Case Study: Georgia Tech RobotariumDespite seeping into nearly every industry around the world, the field of robotics has a major problem: accessibility. There are countless theories on how robots might be used to benefit humanity, but robotics is an expensive field, mostly controlled by private organizations and well established academic labs with the funds to indulge their experimentation. It’s simply inaccessible to most. That’s where Georgia Tech’s Robotarium comes in. Read the rest of this story on our website. Conventional Gait Model 2The Conventional Gait Model 2 (CGM2) has been developed by Dr. Fabien Leboeuf (University of Salford), and partly funded by Vicon. By focusing on areas where it was known improvements could be made, the design of the CGM2 makes several enhancements to the Conventional Gait Model whilst maintaining the model’s strengths. It is an open-sourced biomechanical model developed in Python. CGM2 is designed to be backward-compatible, enabling users to compare the model’s outputs against those of Plug-in Gait. pyCGM2 is compatible with versions of Nexus from 2.7 and later. The installer provides the VSTs and the biomechanical model.
