Mentors Matter

Starting as a new teacher can bring all kinds of new challenges, but having personal support from a mentor can make a world of a difference. That's why we're excited as Michelle Englund lays down the foundations for our Retired Teacher Mentor Program.  Learn more

Danville Area Cohort

To kick off our Danville Area Cohort, we had a great open house, meeting paraprofessionals interested in pursuing teaching. Over 40 participants learned about resources available to them and applied for the cohort, officially starting in January!

Networking Night

We enjoyed a great night 2 weeks ago, as dozens of students got a glimpse of working in rural communities, and new partnerships were formed.

Presenting Our Vision

On October 24th, Shelbyville's Russ Tomblin and our very own Dean Doug Bower and Brian Reid will be presenting at the National Rural Education Association's Annual Convention. They will be sharing about the Rural Teacher Corps and our mission to develop a rural teacher pipeline.

COE & CHHS Alumni Awards

The College of Education and College of Health & Human Services are presenting their annual Alumni Awards. If you know an alum who's making an impact in their field, please consider nominating them here!  Nominations due December 1st.
