Music Generation in partnership with the CME Institute for Choral Teacher Education, the Association of Irish Choirs and DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama present Conducting Young Choirs in the World Today: Into the Future, an accredited Professional Development Course in Choral Music Education, which will take place in NUI Maynooth from 14 – 17 July, 2015. Special Events and Opportunities

The Irish Association of Youth Orchestra's 20th Festival of Youth Orchestras takes place at the National Concert Hall on 7th February, 2015. For details of the full schedule and booking information, see here.

The Waltons Music for Schools Competition offers a wonderful opportunity for schools to build their musical instrument libraries and additional resources including books, music technology PA equipment.  Deadline for applications is 13th February, 2015.  For information and application forms, click here.

The Sky Academy Arts Scholarship deadline has been extended to 5th March, 2015. Five UK and Irish artists aged 18-30 will be selected to win a £30,000 bursary each, plus mentoring support, to take their creative practice to the next level.  Read more here.

Our friends at DIT Conservatory of Music are celebrating their 125th Anniversary this year (1890 – 2015) and they have lined up lots of very special events to mark the occasion, including the Vanbrugh Quartet Sunday Matinee Series,The Rise of Poppea,The Canterbury Tales, and a programme of lunchtime concerts at the National Concert Hall, Dublin.
