As the Chinese New Year is just 10 weeks away, the time is upon us to think about those PCB orders that will need to be fulfilled during the 2 weeks shut down period.
History and experience has taught us that leading up to the holiday period all manufacturers become very busy with an influx of orders to complete before they close. We expect that from the 22nd January we will start to see possible disruption to production.
When the factories reopen after the holiday period it often takes some time to get back up to normal operating lead times. Factories suffer with staff returning late from their holidays due to travel delays and some staff not returning at all.
While all this is going on, the domestic PCB Manufacturers become extremely busy, picking up the business that would normally be made in China, and very quickly they find themselves running at full capacity.
In order to support you with meeting your critical deadlines for Printed Circuits, we encourage you to start to consider your options NOW. With Christmas just around the corner, it won’t be long before those 10 weeks are up.
