LORD MAYOR OF WESTMINSTER
Louise Hyams, Lord Mayor of Westminster, visited the Centre for Social Justice this week and met with Iain Duncan Smith (Chairman of the CSJ) and the CSJ team. This week the City of Westminster discussed their Family Recovery Project at an event hosted by Localis. The Council's project aims to implement the thrust of the Breakthrough Britain proposals at a local authority level.

EARLY YEARS INTERVENTION: GOOD PARENTS, GREAT KIDS, BETTER CITIZENS
David Cameron MP met with Iain Duncan Smith (Chairman of the CSJ) and Graham Allen (Labour MP for Nottingham North) this month. The co-authors of the recent CSJ report  met with the Conservative Party Leader who had endorsed the work. The report, published in conjunction with the Smith Institute, also received warm endorsements from Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg MP.

NICK HURD MP VISITS THE CSJ
Shadow Minister for Charities, Social Enterprise and Volunteering, Nick Hurd MP, visited the CSJ this month. The Conservative Party Green Paper A Stronger Society: Volountary Action in the 21st Century drew upon the CSJ's Breakthrough Britain policy proposals.

CSJ ALLIANCE MEMBER GETS MTV TREATMENT
XLP, leading SE London gang, youth and schools outreach charity, has teamed up with MTV and the Metropolitan Police to turn a battered riot van into a state-of-the-art mobile recording studio. The one off 'Pimp My Ride' show on MTV One will be broadcast on Sunday 30 November 2008 8pm.
