Fall Updates / Injury / SchedulingHELLO ALL! After 10 great weeks of being back in the office and working with so many of you, I have had another set back with a broken wrist! It's my first broken bone in 45 years despite all of my bike racing and wild adventures. I feel pretty lucky. It was not from a daredevil cycling event, rather, a typical household activity that went bad. 2020 is quite the year! I will be in this cast until October 30th. At that point, I will get a brace and PT/OT/CHT hand therapy and then be ready for work. There's a possibility I may heal more quickly and I am hoping for a speedy return to work and wellness! While I am unable to do hands-on massage, feel free to reach out to these trusted practitioners to continue your care: Samantha Cail, Lexington scail.lmt@gmail.com Asi Texeira, Somerville, asi.texeira@gmail.com https://www.mahinamassagestudio.com/ Latoya Lewis, Somerville, contact@serenitywellnessmassage.com https://www.serenitywellnessmassage.com/ In the meantime, while I patiently wait and admire the bodies ability to remodel and grow bones, I will continue to offer Online Yoga/Wellness sessions (and new in-person Wellness Sessions!) These sessions are a customized combination of stretching, self massage and yoga-inspired movement. They can fit into work-from-home schedules with more ease and safety. They are appropriate for beginner and experienced yoga students, injury work and prevention, pre and peri-natal yoga/wellness, stiff bodies and athletes. Online sessions: 45min via Zoom, sliding scale pricing to accommodate more accessibility to wellness. $20-$50. In-Person Wellness Sessions: Beginning Oct 1, 60 min in-office, customized yoga/stretching/self massage/hands on assists and strength/mobility. $100 A yoga mat, blocks and foam roller and tennis balls will be disinfected and provided for your session use. You will be asked to bring in your own porous/washable items such as straps, blankets, pillows to your session as needed. Protocols for in-person Wellness Sessions will be largely the same as massage protocols as it is still considered a "close contact professional service" per MA State Guidelines. Some differences will include keeping the office window open with exhaust fan on. My PPE will change slightly but all cleaning, disinfection, intake and in-place protocols will remain the same. All clients must wear approved face coverings when they arrive for their appointments and in the building at all times as well as DURING the session. Please wear a clean and comfortable mask, but if you need one, I have masks for you. Your mask should be thick enough that you cannot blow out a lighter or match held in front of you, but not so thick that it is hard to breathe! ______________________________________________________________________________ To schedule any sessions, email: maureen.bruno.roy@gmail.com OR shantistudiowellness@gmail.com Phone: 617-921-5715 For more information, please visit my updated website: https://maureenbrunoroy.wordpress.com illustration by Alex Carlson |
