SENSE OF PLACE: Setting is more important than how tall the building is.
 

While there are some key considerations for rooftop success anywhere, each hotel's physical space and setting must drive development. To wit, FHG used to own the Wit in Chicago, a DoubleTree by Hilton, with its well-known and influential rooftop bar. They've now hoisted 8UP—an "elevated drinkery and kitchen"—skyward at the Hilton Garden Inn Louisville, Kentucky. FHG approaches each property and rooftop as a separate, unique situation.
