Some of the Wisest
Words Ever Spoken About Investing
|
|
|
Words I fully endorse. After what for many
has been a grim and stressful year, investors
should be sure to count their blessings. Begin
by closing your eyes, thinking of this year’s
economic and political news, and then guessing
how the U.S. stock market has responded. Next,
be thankful for the low costs of investing.
Speaking for myself, the blessing for which
I’m most grateful is the unlimited ability

Money
CAN buy happiness - if you spend in the right
way, according to 'groundingbreaking' Cambridge
study
Happiness
can be bought, according to a new study from
the University of Cambridge, but only if your

research, published today in the peer-reviewed
journal Psychological Science, analysed 77,000

described as "ground-breaking" by
the researchers involved, as it goes against
past research which has found little correlation
between money and well being.

Beyond lost wages, mums or dads who

in those wages and in retirement and
other benefits
The decision around whether to go
back to work after having a baby —
and pay for childcare — is already
difficult. Parents can now add another
stark financial figure to their calculations:
Each lost year of employment could
cost a family more than three times
a parent's annual salary.

How Women
Won a Leading Role in China's Venture
Capital Industry
When
we think of China and the Chinese world
of business we rarely think of women
having a key role, however, women launch
more than half of all new Internet companies
in China.
The largest venture capital fund ever
raised by a woman isn’t in Silicon Valley
or even the U.S. It's in Beijing and
is run by a former librarian who keeps
such a low profile that she’s a mystery
in her native China. Read
