Join us at LUNGevity’s International Lung Cancer Survivorship Conference!Registration for the annual International Lung Cancer Survivorship Conference (ILCSC) is now open! ILCSC, now in its 10th year, brings together lung cancer survivors at all stages of the disease and diagnosis with scientific experts, nutritionists, clinicians, health care providers, and fellow survivors to learn how to live well with lung cancer. ILCSC provides opportunities to connect with other survivors, hear from world-renowned researchers on the latest treatments, and learn about ways to manage your disease and your lung cancer experience. The conference is made up of three simultaneous summits: the HOPE Summit for patients who are first-time attendees or want to learn the basics; the COPE Summit for caregivers; and the Survivorship Summit for advocates and survivors who are interested in more advanced topics. This unique conference, designed by and for people diagnosed with lung cancer and their caregivers, has been described by past attendees as “transformational.” Limited travel grants are available for first-time attendees. Legislative Briefing on Lung Cancer Scorecard in Washington, DCOn February 6, LUNGevity will release its first-ever Lung Cancer Scorecard assessing access to optimal care. The Scorecard grades individual states on their response to lung cancer. These grades were assigned based upon five factors: coverage for lung cancer screening, coverage for comprehensive biomarker testing, Medicaid expansion, lung cancer incidence, and lung cancer survival. The full results will be released at a briefing on Capitol Hill on Thursday, February 6. The briefing will include a discussion on state policy and the impact on lung cancer outcomes.
