LaborWorkx Now Available on Your Mobile Device
Pilot for IT and HR Departments Only
LaborWorkx is now available as an app on your mobile device for HM IT and HR departments to pilot it. You can log on and view your timecard, schedule and benefits, request time off, and more from the palm of your hand. Simply download the API Healthcare MobileWorkforce app to get started. After using the app, be sure to share your feedback through this survey. Employees: Review this quick start guide to learn how to download and log on to the app and view tips to help you get started. Managers: Review this quick start guide to help your staff (exempt and non-exempt) use the app.
As a reminder for non-exempt employees, clocking in before arriving to your assigned work location and/or before your scheduled shift without prior management approval may be a policy violation of HR67.
Don’t Wait to Escalate: Follow Protocols for Every IncidentIf you discover or are notified of a potential issue, remember to follow these guidelines:
On-Call Moving to EverbridgeWe’re preparing to centralize our on-call schedule, including all major incidents and pageable events, to Everbridge. This move will eliminate the need for the current SharePoint spreadsheet. Designated team members will be responsible for and trained on entering the current calendars into Everbridge. We’ll keep you posted on the timing and next steps.
Disaster Recovery Drill
Saturday, June 26On Saturday, June 26, we’ll host our next disaster recovery drill. This is important to ensure we’re prepared in the event of a severe application or system incident. Your manager should already have spoken with you if you’re required to participate.
Employee Gift UpdateEach year HM gives employees a special gift to recognize their hard work and dedication. The 2021 gift is an outdoor folding chair with a cooler pocket. It will be packaged in a bag with the HM logo. Distribution dates vary depending on location, but the item is experiencing a bit of a delay. Stay tuned for more details on timing and logistics.

IT Security's Forward ThinkingThis newsletter is brought to you by Campaign Monitor, our systemwide communication platform that helps us distribute more than 3,000 communications per month to nearly 900,000 subscribers including patients, employees and physicians. Before December 2020, HM used over four mass communication platforms. The IT Security team found that using multiple systems, including Constant Contact was putting HM data at risk. The main vulnerability? Constant Contact doesn't offer two-factor authentication. Unfortunately, this resulted in a hack of a US agency's Constant Contact account and as a result, over 3,000
people received phishing emails. Thanks to the foresight of the IT Security team, our systemwide account with Campaign Monitor offers two-factor authentication and helps keep our patient and employee information safe. Special thanks to Robert Scarborough, Robert Daniels and the IT Communications and Change Management team, for helping us transition over 40 communication groups to this more secure platform.

Did You Know You Can Buy Home Office Furniture at Vendor Pricing? Three HM vendors (Steelcase, Staples and Haworth) are offering employee discounts on office supplies and home office furniture. The discounts are available whether you’re working from home or not. Note: HM does not reimburse employees for the cost of office supplies and furniture used for remote working. Steelcase Employee Purchase Program: You'll need to create an online account using your HM email address. Click here for details on setting up your account. Staples Employee Purchase Program: Register here using your home address and cell phone number. Once you complete registration, you’ll receive an email with your work-from-home user ID in three to five business days. Although there is a discount on all products, you can click here to see furniture available for an additional 10% discount until Dec. 31. Haworth Employee Purchase Program: You must use your HM email to get the discounts. Click here to learn more about this discount.
