New Master of Arts in Art Education Hybrid Program
The EIU Department of Art, in cooperation with the School of Continuing Education, is launching a new Master of Arts in Art Education hybrid degree program, beginning Summer 2014!
Two options are available: Art Education Option or Community Art Option. This hybridized program combines online learning during the academic year with immersive one-week summer studios. Teachers and professionals may choose to complete their masters over a six-semester sequence or
take courses as their other professional commitments allow.

New Master of Arts in Music Education Hybrid Program
The EIU Department of Music, in cooperation with the School of Continuing Education, is launching a new Master of Arts in Music Education hybrid degree program, beginning Summer 2014!
This unique program combines on-campus summer classes with online learning during the academic year. Teachers may complete the degree over three summers and two academic years or take courses as their other professional commitments allow. The unique curriculum design allows working music educators to apply new ideas and teaching techniques directly to their classrooms as they advance through the program.

Music Education Summer Workshop Series for CPDUs
Available for Summer 2014 are three workshops that may be taken for non-credit CPDU's toward continuing education. They are:

BGS Graduation Celebration
All Bachelor of Arts in General Studies students graduating this spring are invited to attend the Graduation Celebration on May 10 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Grand Ballroom of the MLK Jr. Union before the commencement ceremony.
Come enjoy brunch and celebrate receiving your degree with your peers. Guests accompanying graduates are welcome to attend the celebration.
Please, RSVP before the event. All students will receive a formal invitation with RSVP information closer to the event.

Spring 2014 Commencement Ceremony
The Spring 2014 Commencement Ceremony is Saturday, May 10 at noon for students in the School of Continuing Education. Students can pick up tickets, caps, and gowns in the Arcola-Tuscola Room in the MLK Jr. Union May 7-9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Summer Escapes for Kids
This summer Eastern Illinois University will host a variety of camps for kids ages 6-18 on the campus throughout June and July.
We offer one day workshops, weekend seminars, and weeklong camps for youth with topics ranging from engineering, cooking, fitness, invention, art, and leadership.
