Tasting Notes: This stylish Sauvignon Blanc has enticing aromas of lemongrass, apple, gooseberries and spice on the nose. The palate is mouthwateringly refreshing with a perfect balance between sweet tropical fruit and zesty citrus flavours.  This medium-bodied white has a long persistent finish that is bright and very pleasant. This is an excellent example of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

Enjoy With: Grilled asparagus with goat cheese, grilled lemon-lime chicken or spicy fish tacos.

Style: Aromatic and flavourful, dry white wine.

Terroir/Region: Sauvignon Blanc is New Zealand’s signature white grape and is widely planted in most major growing regions, but it is most closely associated with Marlborough where the soil and climatic conditions are perfectly suited for growing fruit with excellent intensity.  A long sunny growing season comprised of hot days and cold nights develops aromas and flavours in the grapes that are unique to Marlborough.

Producer: The Babich family has been making wine in New Zealand for over 100 years. The original vineyard and winery was established on the North Island by Josip Babich and his three brothers.  As new regions emerged, the family planted vines and built new wineries around the country.  Recognizing Marlborough’s potential, they planted vines in the region and in 2013 opened a state of the art winery near Blenheim.
