BuildHealth Hackathon

Alt

Starts at 10am Saturday, April 14

For 28 hours, from April 14-15, experts from the health care field will collaborate with community members to solve relevant health care problems. Local health care experts will present contemporary health care challenges. Additionally, participants may present a health care challenge or solution. Participants will self-assemble around the problem or proposed solution they find most interesting and creatively problem solve, creating a working proof of concept to present to the judges. Solutions need not be software; they can be other instruments of social change.

Milwaukee Theatre Unconference

Alt

An unconference is a "participant driven meeting that encourages peer-to-peer, collaboration, and creativity."
The Milwaukee Theatre Unconference is geared toward getting the theatre community here together and asks the broad questions of "Where are we now?" & "Where can we go?"

WHO:
Everyone – directors, actors, designers, technicians, theatre-space owners, teachers, students… patrons of theatre, supporters of the arts.

All we ask is for people to bring their questions, ideas, open minds, experience and knowledge.

WHY:
To meet - to talk - to listen - to learn - to teach.

The goal of the day, beside all the topics we can discuss and learn about, is to expand and strengthen the foundation of an active and supportive "community" of individuals with an interest in the performing arts. We hope to explore what the idea of "community" means and to open honest discussion of the roles we inhabit within Milwaukee theatre.
