Short term student parking permits to improve safety

Header

The University has safety concerns about students parking cars on local highways (such as Hazelrigg Lane and Bailrigg Lane) and the implications this has on the local community. Therefore the University is introducing the sale of a special short term student parking permits for the remainder of the academic year 2011/12 to be used on the Alexandra Park parking areas only.
A limited number of permits, available to all students, are on sale now from Lillian Rogers in the Car Parking Office, Security Lodge (open daily 09:00 to 12:45). They are subject to availability and will be issued on a first come first served basis.
For further information please see the Facilities Commuting to Campus webpages.

Alexandra Square/Underpass Works

Header

AConstruction work has started on the roof of the underpass. The majority of the work requires small localised repair but there are a few areas that require taking back to a clean surface. In these few areas and as a precautionary measure we will be placing barriers to localised areas of Alexandra Square during the works.

At times these may appear to cover a substantial area but will allow the contractors to work more effectively throughout the day by fencing off the full day’s operations. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. For more information on the underpass project visit the Facilities Campus Works webpage.
