No images? Click here Together With Good morning. Let’s get real for a moment. Leadership isn’t about the title on your badge or the years you’ve put in. It’s about how you show up—every single day—for your team, your residents, and your mission. So, let’s do a quick Leadership Self Check-In. No fluff, no excuses. Just four questions to hold up the mirror and ask: Am I leading the way I want my team to lead?
Elevate Your Leadership 1. Do I demonstrate what I expect? If your entire leadership team mirrored your attitude, work ethic, and level of engagement from the last few weeks, would you be handing out praise or pulling people into your office for a coaching session? Your team watches you more than you think. If you expect accountability, be accountable. If you want energy, bring energy. If you need solutions, stop complaining and start solving. 2. Have I followed through with an unapologetic sense of urgency?Great leaders don’t just talk about what needs to be done—they do it. If there’s a problem, fix it now, not next week. If something isn’t working, pivot. If you said you’d follow up, did you? A leader with a bias toward action builds trust. A leader who delays? That’s a fast track to frustration and disengagement. Set the pace you want the rest of the team to follow. 3. In the last week, have I publicly praised good work and privately coached where needed?Or… have I just vented about problems without actually providing feedback? Leaders who only point out mistakes—or worse, let frustration fester without addressing it—build teams that resent them. The best leaders celebrate wins out loud and course-correct quietly. And if you haven’t done this? Today’s a great day to start. 4. Have I been human?Let’s be honest—some of the best ideas in your building don’t come from your desk. Have you owned it when you were wrong? Have you openly said, “You’re right. Let’s do it your way”? A great leader makes it safe for people to speak up, share concerns, and contribute ideas. If your team is afraid to challenge you, you’re not leading—you’re just managing.
Partners We Love Together with TapestryHealth Let’s face it, no matter how advanced we get, some people will always have difficulty grasping new technology. The usual complaint is that it takes more time to learn than what it saves. That’s why we love technology partners that recognize the need to get people up to speed on their products quickly, and the easier that is, the better. Which is exactly why TapestryHealth is at the top of our list. Tapestry offers some of the industry’s most advanced technology in AI, remote patient monitoring and a half dozen other things that make life easier for nurses and make care better for patients. But most important to the staff is how easy it is to learn and put to use in everyday care. Tapestry says if you can use a cell phone, you can use their technology. It’s that easy. We also love the fact that Tapestry has plenty of clients who are willing to help them tell their story. We just think it means more coming from a colleague than a sales rep. If you agree, click here and listen to this, or visit TapestryHealth.com and click on Testimonials in the top right corner. In a rush to get up to speed?
